Sammy Ball Selected For England Squad

Sammy Ball has been selected for the England team travelling to Stockholm, Sweden for an indoor heptathlon on 15 - 16 February 2025. The selection comes after his silver medal performance at the England Athletics indoor heptathlon championships on 17 & 18 of January where he scored a club record of 5,707 points.

This is Sammy’s first senior level international selection and together with his England team mates he will be competing against a range of Swedish and Norwegian athletes including Elliot Duvert who Sammy competed with in 2022 in Cali, Columbia at the under 20 World Championships. On that occasion Elliot went on to win the Bronze medal whilst Sammy had to withdraw on day two with a leg injury.
